These two adorable girls came all the way from Alaska to have their photo taken by me! Well… not really. These two are Carter’s cousins and they are in town to visit.
We had such a fun time catching up yesterday and enjoying the warm weather out by the lake at my in-law’s home. I learned that not only do they don’t get much snow but they also don’t have epidurals at their small town hospital. I quickly crossed that city off as a place I’d live and moved on to take photos of the absolutely precious Sophie who was born 9 days after Carter and her big sis Maya.
Here’s Sophie! How amazing are her dark eyes?!
And her gorgeous older sis Maya. Look at those curls!
Sophie and her beautiful Mommy.
It was so nice to finally meet the girls and Carter had so much fun hanging out with his cousins! We look forward to seeing you guys again in a week.
This little guy was the most laid back baby I’ve ever worked with. He did not make a peep the entire session today and we had him all over the place in downtown Old Town, Leesburg with and without his clothes. The gorgeous, warm fall day today made this session even more perfect.
Here are a few favorites from today…
C has the most AMAZING kaleidescope blue eyes!
This face cracks me up!
There’s not a whole lot cuter than a naked baby in a tub! I would never have thought I could pull this shot off outside in the middle of October but luckily it was nice and warm out today.
K & W, it was so nice meeting you guys today, I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!
I had been on modified bedrest for 6 weeks for high blood pressure. This morning, a year ago, I went for my 37 week appointment. My blood pressure would not go down so they sent me over to the hospital to be monitored. After spending all day on the monitors my OB decided to induce me. I was terrified since it was still early and I wasn’t even a fingertip dilated but I had no choice.
That next day on August 9th at 3:21 pm I gave birth to the sweetest little boy in the world. He came out screaming and healthy, and that day and the days after have been the best of my life.
Here is a video chronicling his first year, it’s long but worth it. Also please note that most of the photos in the video are just snapshots from our point and shoot.
