A Post Full of Awesome | Northern Virginia Family Photography

When my friend Glennon sent me a message on Facebook last fall interested in family photos I squealed a little. Not only does she have the cutest kids ever, but she’s a super talented writer. Glennon was in the process of relaunching her very popular Momastery blog and wanted updated photos of her and her adorable family for it.

This week, Glennon wrote a post that most of us parents can wholeheartedly relate to, and that went viral all over the internet. Raising little kids is tough and I would be lying if my husband and I didn’t high five each other once the kids are in bed after a long and demanding day. I’m also one of those people who catches myself telling all of the new Mom’s that come into my studio to enjoy every single second of their babies newbornhood while being guilty of not doing the same with my own little kids. We all question (daily probably) if we are doing this parenting thing right and I loved her post, Carpe Kairos people!

You have to read this. http://momastery.com/blog/2012/01/04/2011-lesson-2-dont-carpe-diem/

Back to the photos. I didn’t want to blog them until she had launched her new blog so here they are! We had a super warm fall late afternoon where the light was magical and the kids were perfectly behaved and adorable.

Now tell me they aren’t the cutest family ever.

Daddy and his boy.

Miss Sassy.

Miss Amma.

Chase, the sweetest and kindest boy ever.

And then we went to my favorite field, I know Glennon probably thought I was nuts but I adore how these came out.

Thank you Glennon & family from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to capture your family and congrats on the success of the new blog!

Love Them | Washington DC Baby Photographer

I’ve loved photographing this family as their boys get bigger! Last time I saw them, little E was only a week old. We met up this morning to grab some quick Holiday photos at the studio and I loved seeing how much he has changed in 4 months and seeing him with his big brother. These two are just the cutest.

Look at that hair and smile.

Adorable big brother.

The twosome.

This is really cool, here’s photo of big brother at this same age I took back in 2009.

And here’s baby brother today on the same rug, wearing the same outfit.

Again, not sharing any family shots on the blog, I don’t want to spoil their Holiday Card. :-)

Three Little Beauties | Washington DC Baby Photographer

Today I got to photograph a beautiful family with three girls, all three and under, the youngest being three months old, that’s a lot of threes! These ages are all tough but these girls were so well behaved and were awesome for their photo shoot.

Big sis who is 3:

Middle sis who is 2:

And baby sis who is 3 months:

All so adorable, we also got lots of great family shots but I will refrain from sharing in case Mom & Dad want to use them in their Christmas cards.

The bigger sisters, I love this shot and those coats!

And one more of little miss, does it get any cuter than this?!

R family, it was so nice seeing you all today!

Perfect Fall Day | Ashburn Virginia Family Photographer

I can’t believe how warm it was outside today, usually by the end of November we are dealing with 20-30 degree days and even snow, but today was simply perfect and over 70 degrees. I had not one, but two family sessions and both were amazing.

First off, my morning session. These two kids could not have been sweeter or better well behaved, I loved this entire family.

M family, it was so nice meeting you all today!

Second session will come at a later date with a super duper big share. Now how did December creep up on me already? I haven’t even thought about shopping or decorating the house for Christmas yet, I should get on that.

Two Fun | Alexandria Virginia Child Photographer

I can’t believe I photographed him as a newborn over two years ago and haven’t seen him since he was 6 months old. Time flies and he’s turned into the most adorable toddler ever. We had a so much fun jumping in puddles this morning in beautiful Downtown Old Town Leesburg, I was crossing my fingers after a few rainy days  and today was beautiful.

T family, it was so great seeing you all again today!

I hope everyone has a very fun and blessed Thanksgiving, I’m so thankful for all of my loyal clients & fans. :-)
