SNOMG Aftermath | Ashburn Virginia Photographer

We woke up this morning on the day after the snow storm of the century cuddled up in our warm bed and so thankful we had our power back. We have begun to dig ourselves out along with the rest of the DC Area today. The sun was shining and I was going a bit stir crazy so I decided to venture out and have a little photo safari in our neighborhood.

As much as it’s an inconvenience the snow is absolutely gorgeous. I am NOT a nature photographer but I was completely inspired by the snow and deep blue sky today.

Not sure what hole this is on the golf course but look how buried the flag pole is!

The playground.

Look at the dinosaur, that thing is normally a good 3 – 4 feet tall and you can barely see it now!

Our street.

The Manor House, isn’t this pretty? I love the sunflare and the blue sky against all that snow.

The Club House.

A view from the top.

Mmmmm, more sunflare and pretty snowy trees.

That pick up your dog poop sign is usually pretty tall and right now you can barely see it.

The schools are closed for the next few days and the roads are still really bad so all of my photo sessions this weekend and tomorrow have had to be rescheduled. While it’s nice to get out and shoot just for fun, I’m wondering when this crazy weather is going to end, they are calling for 6-12 MORE inches of snow on Tuesday/Wednesday! Wish us luck!

Beautiful pictures. That’s just depressing about the potential snow amounts for mid-week. I don’t know where to put 6-12 more inches of snow – ugh.

I have no idea either, our yard front yard already has 5 feet high piles of snow from our driveway. Ugh.

Oh wow, are you serious? I thought we had snow couple weeks ago, but this – this beats my snow by a mile.. Amazing!

Wow…these make me jealous! We only had one snowfall this year and it didn’t amount to anything. Gorgeous work!
