Beautiful Bump | Alexandria Virginia Maternity Photographer

I LOVE maternity sessions. I love being able to get to know the parents before their baby arrives and I love capturing them one last time before they become a family of three. I also adore seeing the love between two people and the excitement of starting a new chapter in their lives.

These two are just that, so in love. Today we met up in Old Town, Alexandria and fought off a few rain showers to get these shots. They brought along their adorable dog and I had so much fun incorporating him into our shoot.

Baby Fever! | Virginia Newborn Photographer

It’s official, after having 3 newborn sessions this week I have baby fever again…

Sweet little A joined this world just two weeks ago and already has Mommy & Daddy wrapped around his finger. He has the most awesome head of dark hair and beautiful soulful eyes. Today he was on his best behavior giving us some great sleepy shots and then some awesome eye contact with his awake shots.

Delicious Cheeks | Reston Virginia Newborn Photographer

This little guy is the newest family member to one of my favorite clients. I did her daughter’s newborn session in April of 2008 and then they moved away. I was SO sad to see them go because I was hoping to watch her little girl grow up but luckily we have kept in contact through facebook and email. They recently moved back into town just in time to deliver their sweet son and I was able to do his first photo session today.

This little guy had my number and just like his big sister, did NOT want to sleep for me. I worked my magic though and we got a nice mix of awake and asleep shots. I could have hung out with him all day and just marveled at his chubby little cheeks!

Just wanted to pop on and share a few more from my Charlottesville sessions because these kids are too ridiculously cute to NOT share more.

This might be one of my favorites ever. Little M was trying to run away from us so Dad was trying to cheer her up for a few more shots when I caught this. I LOVE the fall colors and the vastness of The Lawn.

Tiny Twins | Virginia Newborn Twin Photographer

Today I met these two petit little princesses. They were born just 20 days ago and were on excellent behavior for their first photo session. They are just shy of 5 pounds each and I just loved cuddling them and taking their photos. Mom and Dad think they might be identical and I agree, I’m having a hard time telling them apart myself!
