Preston – 11 Days | Leesburg Virginia Newborn Photographer

First, thank you all SO much for your kind words about the studio, I can’t wait to share more of it with all of you!

Today I got to cuddle this sweet little guy:

Little Preston was absolutely perfect today for his photo session, like so good he should give all other newborns tips on being a good little model. He is so loved and adored by his parents that I walked out of their house with a huge smile on my face. I can’t wait to watch him grow up before my camrea this year, I really have the best job ever.

He has the softest dirty blonde hair and the cutest chin.

His grandma knitted him this hat before he arrived. I always get so excited when my clients have their own hats or blankets to incorporate.

While I love lots of hats and props I also find myself drawn to the simple images with just the baby.

Congratulations A family, your little man is perfection and I enjoyed spending time with all of you today!

Some BIG News! | Leesburg Virginia Newborn Photographer

I signed the lease for a 1700 square foot natural light studio today!

(Not my actual sign yet but you can see what it will look like with a little photoshop help. And yes, that is my cute baby right there.)

Not only will this allow me to get more creative with my newborn photography, it will also allow me to be more full service to my clients. While I work hard to get  photos of their little one, they can relax, have a cup of coffee and look at all of my gorgeous samples without having to worry about if the house is clean.  Another bonus is that the light will always be consistent so no more walking into a house and hoping it will work out. I will still give the option of doing on-location work but am planning on primarily shooting all newborns in the studio.

The studio has two huge rooms and is located in an old mansion right on King Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg with it’s own parking lot in the rear of the building. The first room will be a sitting room/office while the second larger room will be the shooting room. The building dates back to 1885 and has gorgeous old wood floors and an old fireplace but, has been updated so the modern luxeries like  the bathroom, is brand new.

Not only will I be able to shoot inside the studio but for babies & family stuff all we have to do is step right outside the door and you have all of the charm of Downtown Leesburg for some more “urban” photos or we can drive 2 minutes up the street to a huge park/garden for outdoor photos.

Here is a quick iphone photo I took today as the carpets that were covering those amazing floors were being ripped up.

The walls will all be white/cream except for the wall where the fireplace is, that will be painted the same aqua from my logo. Here’s my design board, I can’t wait to see it all come together!

I’m SO SO SO excited about this and feel like this is exactly what I needed to do for my growing business. I of course will be posting a ton of photos as it comes together and other studio-related news so stay tuned!

Little Darling | Virginia Baby Photographer

So my life is a little crazy right now, but crazy in a good way. More coming on that later this week probably but first I need to blog these images from yesterday.

Sweet C is about 3 weeks older than my Reed and is the happiest little doll. She gave me smile after smile for our session and I had a super hard time narrowing down which images I wanted to blog (shocker).

All of her adorable outfits and bows made me want a baby girl, uh oh!

Sitting like a big girl in her petti & pearls.

They call this bow her party hat, I love it.

D family, it was so nice meeting you all yesterday, hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

I did baby brother’s newborn session last week but his big sisters were in school so I decided to go back yesterday to get some sibling shots. I am so glad I did because I adore these and could have taken photos of these beautiful girls all day long.

A Baby Brother! | Leesburg Virginia Newborn Photographer

This little guy gave me a run for my money today, at 16 days old he most definitely didn’t want to miss the party! He’s so so so cute so I forgive him. ;-)

How cute are these 3?!

Lots of eye contact…

A little snoozing…

And some snuggle time.

All in all, an awesome day.
