About the Artist:

I am completely inspired by babies and children. I find everything about their young lives to be so beautiful, whether it be a newborn's wrinkled and flaky new skin or a toddler’s first wobbly steps. Gummy smiles and belly laughs make my heart soar and I feel so blessed to be able to capture all of these fleeting moments for my clients.

I specialize modern, fine art newborn & baby photography. I love what I do and it shows in every photo I take. My style is very organic and natural; you'll never hear me utter the words "say cheese". I'm also very flexible and will try to work with you to get the best results. You will walk away from a session with me with unique and original photos that will be treasured forever.

Inspired by our nightly ritual of reading "Goodnight Moon" to our son Carter, the name Little Moon Photography was born.

She’s Famous You Know… | Maryland Baby Photographer

Today was little Miss A’s 6 month session, last time I saw her was for her newborn session! She’s also famous and is featured on my splash page. She’s grown so much and is just as gorgeous as always, I absolutely love this age!

Here’s a super quick sneak peek, the husband is out of town so I’m on my own with an insane toddler this weekend. Add that to being pregnant and I’m exhausted.

So freaking cute!

I love it when they grab their toes.

10 Day Old Beauty | Virginia Newborn Photographer

This little girl was such a dream to photograph, I have a feeling she has a future as a model perhaps. She slept so soundly and allowed me to pose her however I wanted with only a few accidents. I adore seeing new families with their babies and today was no different.

I have a lot of favorites!

So teeny and perfect!

Safe in Daddy’s big arms.

Isn’t she gorgeous?! Makes me want my own baby girl, we find out on June 7th what flavor ours is.

I adore this shot because it’s SOOOO girly.

And the cutest family ever.

7 Days of Perfection | Washington DC Newborn Photographer

Today I met this adorable little 7 pounder on his 7th day of life. He spent the first of our session wide awake and so calm and content, I don’t think I’ve seen a more alert week old newborn. He then drifted off into a milk induced slumber so we could get some sweet sleepy shots, he was the perfect model.

I do love an awake newborn.

Is he not just beautiful?

There is nothing sweeter than seeing a proud new dad with his new son.

And also seeing a couple so blissfully happy to be new parents.

Congratulations again A & B, your son is absolute perfection!

Calendar Updates! | Virginia Newborn Photographer

Just a few quick notes about openings this summer, things are already getting very busy!

* May is completely booked.

* June is also booked except for the last week, I have the 29th or 30th available. I do still have beach session appointments available while we are on vacation in the Outer Banks, NC from June 10-22nd.

* July I have weekday spots and that’s it, I have NO WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS available until SEPTEMBER and I only have the 4th & 11th open. I do have weekday spots open right now for July, August, & September so book NOW.

Don’t forget, my due date is October 26th so I will only be taking October appointments on a last minute basis and depending on how I’m feeling. I will keep the blog updated with that info.

And because I can’t post without a photo, I am going to post one more of this adorable 7 month old. They have this amazing blue building near their home in DC and I’m obsessed with it. I wish I could shoot there every session.

I can’t believe that the last time I saw her she was a newborn! Well Miss E is now 18 months and is all over the place! We had so much fun this morning running around Old Town, Alexandria capturing her at a year and a half. This is NOT an easy age but I love the images I got.
