About the Artist:

I am completely inspired by babies and children. I find everything about their young lives to be so beautiful, whether it be a newborn's wrinkled and flaky new skin or a toddler’s first wobbly steps. Gummy smiles and belly laughs make my heart soar and I feel so blessed to be able to capture all of these fleeting moments for my clients.

I specialize modern, fine art newborn & baby photography. I love what I do and it shows in every photo I take. My style is very organic and natural; you'll never hear me utter the words "say cheese". I'm also very flexible and will try to work with you to get the best results. You will walk away from a session with me with unique and original photos that will be treasured forever.

Inspired by our nightly ritual of reading "Goodnight Moon" to our son Carter, the name Little Moon Photography was born.

Birthday Boy! | Ashburn Virginia Baby Photographer

So we originally scheduled our session when little L was 6 months old. The day of our session we got 20 inches of snow and had to postpone, well that date got pushed back and so we decided to do a one year session instead. What is awesome about the babies first year is that there are LOTS of milestones that deserve getting professional portraits and turning one is definitely one of those!

This little guy is absolutely adorable and I really enjoyed photographing him, we got super lucky and got all of our shots done before the rain came!

Is he not the cutest? Love when they can pull up but can’t run from ya!

Love his smile and curls.

12 Day old Beauty | Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

I knew she would be gorgeous when I did her Mama’s maternity session back in March but I was not prepared for THIS much cuteness! Miss T is one of the most beautiful newborn girls I’ve ever seen from her chubby cheeks down to her teeny toes. She kept me on MY toes today but all in all was an excellent model.

A few favorites!

Gorgeous dark brown eyes, she was so calm while awake (most of the time).

There’s nothing better than a shot of Daddy & his new baby girl.

Look at these pretty little bow-tie lips! I adore the macro for really capturing those teeny little baby parts.

Last time I photographed these children back in 2008 there were only two of them! Now a new baby brother has joined the family and I got to photograph all of them today!

Mine on Monday – Party of Four

Carter is super excited:

To have a baby brother or sister join us in October.

I am already dreaming up ideas for my own newborn’s session. Little nugget is looking healthy and we can’t wait to meet him/her!

Timing is not exactly ideal since October is right in the heart of busy season but I have a feeling it will all work out. September will book up FAST since I will be off end of October & November so if you are thinking about booking a fall session in September, do so NOW.

Glowing & Gorgeous | Virginia Maternity Photographer

Miss Sarah could not look any better being pregnant. Due in just 4 short weeks, we toughed out the chilly & windy weather this morning and got some amazing maternity shots. Not only is she gorgeous and super sweet but she’s also my future step-sister! My Mom and her Dad are getting married soon and I could not be any more excited to not only have another sister (and brother) but a brand new baby niece too!

Here are a bunch of favorites, I just couldn’t narrow it down.

My favorite, the spring colors in Old Town are amazing and I love how little Herbie was posing for the camera too.
