What a week it’s been! For Easter last Sunday my Mom (Carter’s Mimi) surprised him and all of his cousins with tickets to the circus that’s in town this week at The Patriot Center. I was a little leery since the show started at Carter’s bed time but figured he’d probably like it. Oh did he like it, I’ve never seen my child so excited and amazed all at once. His little eyes were as big as saucers and mouth was agape the entire time.
Mimi completely hooked up and got us the “circus celebrity” tickets which meant we sat in the very front row and were also brought out into the ring and driven around in a crazy train. I’m also psyched that I ended up bringing the 5D and my 24-70 2.8L, worked perfect for this occasion and I got some awesome shots.
Here are a few, they are a bit grainy since they were shot in the dark at high ISO’s but I still love them.
Carter and his best bud and cousin, Jack enjoying the show.

A performer, I love this shot.

And here’s the “train” that we rode around the floor of the circus on. Super cool experience.

While we were on the floor they did motorcyclists in the metal ball showcase. This was going on right in front of us, SO amazing. I was worried the loudness would freak Carter out but he loved it.

The elephants were mine and Jacks favorite part of the show. SO cute!

How they train the elephants to do these tricks amazes me.

And of course I need to share a couple shots from Easter last weekend since Carter was looking extra handsome. ![]()

His Easter Basket… err, Bucket.

My little stinker.

Hope you all had a wonderful week. Stay tuned for an extra awesome weekend of sessions to come tomorrow and Sunday to this very blog.
