About the Artist:

I am completely inspired by babies and children. I find everything about their young lives to be so beautiful, whether it be a newborn's wrinkled and flaky new skin or a toddler’s first wobbly steps. Gummy smiles and belly laughs make my heart soar and I feel so blessed to be able to capture all of these fleeting moments for my clients.

I specialize in natural light, modern custom portraiture. I love what I do and it shows in every photo I take. My style is very organic and natural; you'll never hear me utter the words "say cheese". I'm also very flexible and will try to work with you to get the best results. You will walk away from a session with me with unique and original photos that will be treasured forever.

Inspired by our nightly ritual of reading "Goodnight Moon" to our son Carter, the name Little Moon Photography was born.

7 Days New | Alexandria Virginia Newborn Photographer

I was SO excited to meet this baby girl! I did Mom’s maternity session a few months ago and just knew that this baby would be adorable. She did NOT disappoint!

A few favorites!

She was wide awake for the first 30 minutes of the session. I could not believe how alert she was for 7 days and she gave me some great eye contact. How cute is she?!

And we can’t forget big brother! Such a cutie.

Loving the negative space of this one, I love it when newborns curl up like they did in the womb.

A Day in Our Life | Virginia Child Photographer

You know what they say about cobbler’s kids have no shoes? Well photographer’s kids have no recent photos. It’s hard, when I get a day off from shooting sometimes the last thing I want to do is break out the gear. Since I always have my iPhone with me I do end up taking tons of photos of him with that.

I recently found iPhone app “ShakeIt Photo”, it turns your photos into cute little polaroids. I had so much fun doing this and wanted to share and will be doing this more often. Here’s our happy little Sunday.
